A wildcard welcome

Supercheap Auto puts pedal to the metal at Everton Park

To celebrate the launch of Supercheap Auto’s 2025 Wildcard Supercars livery, BonBon opened the throttle on a high-octane community event at its Everton Park store. We worked alongside Supercheap Auto and Aruga to bring the brand’s passion for motorsport to life in an activation made for fans, media and motorsport legends alike.

The event was anchored by a live broadcast with Channel 7’s Sunrise Weekend Weather team, which captured six on-air crosses throughout the morning and delivered national exposure. At the heart of the hype? A dramatic car reveal featuring Craig Lowndes and Zach Bates, who rolled into camera view to unveil the new-look Wildcard livery to the roar of the crowd.

The experience extended far beyond the camera lens. With simulators, signing sessions, live DJ sets, a ToolPro zone, airbrush tattoos, classic cars and branded giveaways, the event engaged everyone from seasoned Supercar lovers to curious families.

BonBon managed all logistics, approvals, and traffic control, with a clear focus on ensuring safe and seamless event delivery. From early bump-in to crowd engagement and content creation, the event was designed for maximum dwell time and impact, transforming a suburban car park into the pit lane party of the year.

FROM CONCEPT TO CREATION

  • BonBon worked closely with Supercheap Auto and Aruga to align the in -store experience with a  national PR moment. A bold Sunrise partnership, combined with an on-site spectacle, made for a powerful Wildcard livery reveal with national reach and local connection.

  • From bump-in to broadcast, BonBon managed end-to-end logistics, including permits, traffic control, crowd barriers, vendor coordination, and live run-of-show, to keep the event running as smoothly as a Lowndes gear shift.

  • We transformed a retail car park into a motorsport playground. From signing sessions to simulators, airbrush tattoos to ToolPro trials, every zone was designed to encourage interaction and longer dwell times.

  • The event was deeply embedded in the Everton Park store, with staff playing a key role in delivering a smooth experience for fans and customers alike. Their energy and support on the day helped connect the activation to the store environment; driving foot traffic, supporting event operations, and contributing to increased sales.
