BonBon has transformed Brisbane Airport's Terminal into a vibrant, festive destination every year since 2022. With a focus on creating memorable experiences for kids and adults, BonBon successfully engages travellers through interactive holiday-themed activations. Our mission? To make pre-flight wait times an enjoyable part of the holiday journey.
The Challenge: Travelling during the festive season can feel stressful with long waits, crowded terminals and a general holiday hustle.
The Solution: BonBon eased the tension by creating engaging, fun and heart-warming experiences to entertain passengers while driving foot traffic to Brisbane Airport retailers, including:
Holiday Entertainment: From Christmas movies and carollers to face painting and roving entertainers, we entertained all ages.
Santa's Photo Opportunity: We invited travellers to snap a picture with Santa before their flight, adding a personal touch to their holiday memories.
Retail Activation: In partnership with airport retailers, we offered custom gift bags, a "Spin-the-Wheel" activation and exclusive shopping experiences, encouraging pre-flight purchases and gifting.

2024 Santa’s Workshop
In 2024, BonBon's festive experience soared to new heights with a pop-up Santa's Workshop at Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal. The once-vacant retail tenancy was transformed into a magical, immersive space with a range of joyful activities and offerings, including:
Christmas Movies: Passengers enjoyed their favourite festive films, creating a cosy holiday atmosphere throughout the terminal.
Christmas Activity Books: Engaging and creative activity books were provided to kids, helping them pass the time with festive-themed puzzles, colouring pages and games.
Terminal Scavenger Hunt: Families joined a fun scavenger hunt around the terminal, encouraging exploration while enjoying festive surprises along the way.
Visual Merchandising for Retailers: We worked closely with airport retailers to create holiday-themed displays and signage, enhancing the festival shopping and gifting experience.
Results: BonBon's festive activations at Brisbane Airport are a beloved tradition that have significantly increased foot traffic to airport retailers during the holiday season. Feedback from travellers is overwhelmingly positive with many expressing how much the festive experiences brightened their time at the airport. The addition of Santa's Workshop in 2024 was especially well-received as a must-visit family attraction.
