When Gold Coast Airport and Fiji Airways prepared to launch their inaugural Nadi to Gold Coast service, BonBon was engaged to create memorable departure and arrival experiences that celebrated this exciting new chapter in travel.
Capturing the coastal spirit of both destinations, the terminal was transformed into a vibrant cultural celebration, warmly welcoming passengers, dignitaries, media and stakeholders.
For the Arrivals Hall, BonBon developed a bespoke textural media wall complete with lush floral installations, providing a premium backdrop for media coverage, traditional ceremonies, and event formalities. Adding a touch of relaxed hospitality for attendees, an outdoor gelato cart served up tropical flavours of toasted coconut and mango sorbet.
At the departure gate, outbound passengers were invited to indulge in a pre-flight mocktail, say cheese at the custom-designed photo wall, and enjoy live performances from Fijian artist Lai Utovou. Together these elements created a sense of anticipation and excitement, turning the time before take-off into a memorable part of their journey.
With multiple stakeholders, cultural considerations and formal proceedings to coordinate, BonBon’s role extended beyond experience creation. We worked closely with Gold Coast Airport to ensure every detail aligned seamlessly with the broader event program and varied stakeholder requirements.
The result was a launch experience that celebrated more than just a new flight route. It marked the beginning of a new connection between two beloved destinations, and an exciting milestone for both Gold Coast Airport and Fiji Airways.
